I have over 30 years’ experience as a teacher of all brass instruments, music theory, keyboard, GCSE music, teaching students of all ages and abilities from beginner to diploma standard.

Qualifications

 

•Qualified Teacher Status (DfE)

•Fellow of Trinity College London – Performance (FTCL)

•Licentiate of Trinity College London – Performance (LTCL)

•Graduate Diploma in Music Education, Music Therapy (GMus) - Liverpool

•Licentiate Diploma in Brass Band Adjudication (Salford University)  (LDBBA)

•Fellow of the Society of Crematorium Organists (FSCO)

•National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH)

 

Cost

 

•£17 – 30 minute individual instrumental lesson

•£25 – 45 minute GCSE lesson

 

Payment

 

•Online half termly invoice - various payment options

•The preferred method of payment is by bank transfer but I’m happy to take cash or  

 cheque

 

Where do I teach?

 

•At my home studio or I will travel to the student’s residence in Telford or Shrewsbury (if

 under 18, parents must be at home)

•Also happy to make arrangements for online lessons

 

Arrangements for online lessons

 

•Lessons will be delivered using Zoom (preferred) or Skype

•If the student is under 18 parents must be at home and the door must be left open at all

 times

•Parents must be available to talk to me at the start and, at the end of each lesson

 

Availability

My full time day job takes priority so therefore I only teach private students on Monday & Thursday evenings & Saturday mornings. I am also happy to make arrangements for online tutoring at other times. Please be aware that lesson days and times may change now and again. I tend not to charge for lessons missed.
